Company Profile
Company Overview
Nippondenso began in Japan in the 1930’s as part of the electrical and radiator departments of Toyota Motor Company, Ltd. In 1949, we became an independent company, while continuing to sell to Toyota and other automotive companies. In 1996, Nippondenso Company Ltd. became DENSO Corporation, and today, DENSO provides worldwide capabilities in design, development, manufacturing and delivery of quality components and systems.
DENSO’s product lines include automotive air conditioning and heating systems, electrical and electronic control products, fuel management systems, engine cooling systems, instrument panel clusters, air and oil filters and information and communication systems.
DENSO has continued to grow and expand. With an international network of 220 subsidiaries and affiliates in 32 countries spanning the Americas, Europe, Asia and Australia, DENSO is a leading global supplier of advanced technology, systems and components.
DENSO Sales California (DSCA), the first DENSO overseas subsidiary, was established in 1971 to import and assemble automotive and motorcycle electrical parts and systems, and to distribute diesel parts.
In 1984, DSCA relocated to Long Beach, CA from Carson, CA where we now employ more than 200 associates. DSCA associates provide sales, service and distribution for automotive OES parts, aftermarket and OE heavy duty product lines, robotics and portable air conditioning systems called MovinCool.
The success of DSCA can be attributed to the hard-won confidence our customers hold in our products, our commitment to excellence within our industry through quality and service, and to our associates.
