Company History
When Walt DeBoer opened his Chrysler-Plymouth-Dodge dealership in 1946, he named it Lithia Motors after the natural Lithia springs Ashland, Oregon was famous for. That year, he sold just 14 cars.
Today, Lithia Auto Stores is one of the largest automotive retailers in the U.S.—selling 30 brands of new cars and virtually every brand of used vehicles at over 150 locations throughout the country. Our publicly traded company (NYSE stock symbol-LAD) is still growing today.
