Model Electronics Inc. has proudly been serving the automotive industry for over 30 years. We specialize in the repair, remanufacture, sale and distribution of factory-installed automotive electronics including radios, instrument clusters (set mileage and or remanufacture) navigation and video. Always putting our customers first and offering the most diverse services in the industry, we have become a trusted partner for such companies as General Motors, Delphi, BMW, Nissan, Visteon and Honda to name a few.
Model Electronics operates in full-certified compliance of the ISO 9001:2008 standard. Our Quality Management System encompasses the remanufacturing of audio, video, instrument and display products, assembly of Passive Occupancy Detection System (PODS), and validating cellular telephone Blue Tooth connectivity to OEM vehicle systems for the automotive industry.
Some of the services we provide are advance exchange program, assembly, blue tooth testing and validation, calibration, conversion, customer support, distribution, OE Sales, remanufacturing, repairs (in and out of warranty), re-qualification, warehousing and logistics of the above mentioned products. These services we currently provide offer our customers a realized savings in inventory and quality control, labor, and vehicle down time to the consumer.
Company History
Our company Model Electronics, Inc. located in Ramsey, NJ. was started on August 16, 1976.
Our business was started in a rented building at 321 W. RT 59 in Nanuet, New York. The stand-alone building was approximately 800 square feet where we conducted sales and service for car audio products. Shortly afterwards we became factory authorized for Delco Electronics (GM) which is now Delphi Automotive Systems and Ford Motor Company which has now spun off a new company named Visteon Automotive Systems. Our success is accredited to our background in the servicing of car audio products and a good understanding and communication with Automobile Dealerships. We have grown from a local distributor of goods and services to becoming one of the largest in the country.
The quality of services we supply to our customers has been met with the highest of standards achievable. Our Company’s Quality System is ISO 9002 registered for remanufacturing of audio and instrumentation for the automotive industry.
We have grown to be one of the largest of seven authorized service facilities in the United States. Model currently services over 15,000 vehicles per month. We have evolved over time from the original 800 square ft. adding 4,000 in Nanuet and another 40,000 ft. facility in Spring Valley in 1993. We currently employ 85 employees in a 85,000 ft building in Ramsey NJ and a 5,000 ft retail store on Route 17N .
Our goals have always been to find better ways to satisfy our customer and dealers. This has been our foundation in building our outstanding reputation and growth within the automotive electronics community.
