The Car Store markets the full line of Subaru automobiles, parts and accessories as well as all makes and models of used vehicles. The Car Store is the only full service automobile Sales and Service facility open seven days a week in the entire Upper Valley area. The Car Store's service facility is one of the largest Subaru service facilities in New England servicing not only Subaru but also committed to all other brands.
Best stated, the philosophy of The Car Store is to foster a mutually productive and profitable relationship for both its customers and employees. This relationship is developed by the sales and service staff with individual, long term attention to each customer over time that enables anticipation and fulfillment of our customer's automotive needs.
Company History
For over 50 years, The Car Store has been meeting the vehicle needs of the residents of the Upper Valley region of Vermont and New Hampshire. Located just minutes from one of the nation's top 25 ranked hospitals, critically acclaimed Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, one of largest hospitals in New England, and less than one mile from the Big Green of the Ivy League, Dartmouth College, on the banks of the Connecticut River in Hanover, New Hampshire, The Car Store is right in the middle of pristine surroundings with all of the amenities and culture of a metropolitan area.
There are more than 600 employers in the Upper Valley area. Greater than 90 percent of the work force has at least a high school diploma. The primary sector of the Upper Valley's economy is professional services, followed by retail/wholesale and then manufacturing. The area's top employers are Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and the Hitchcock Clinic with over 6000 employees, Dartmouth College with 3500 employees, Timken Aerospace, Tele Atlas, Hypertherm, Creare Engineering and Research, Fluent Inc, Loctite Luminescence Systems and Stryker Biotech.
There is a myriad of recreation and fitness facilities present in the area including several public and private health clubs that include indoor swimming pools. Of course, skiing is a large part of the area’s economy and is conveniently enjoyed within minutes of the Upper Valley at Killington Resort (Killington.com), Okemo Ski Area (Okemo.com), Mount Sunapee Ski Area (Mtsunapee.com) and Stowe Ski Resort (Stowe.com) to mention just a few.
The Upper Valley is within easy access to some of the most fascinating cities in the world. Drive times to various cities include: New York City, 4 hours 45 minutes, Montreal, Quebec, 3 hours 30 minutes, Boston, Massachusetts, 2hr 30 minutes and the New Hampshire seacoast is 2 hours away.
